Profile Trapezoid 42/250

The trapezoidal metal profile with a peak height of 39mm and a pitch of 128mm is the most widespread covering profile in the Greek market. It is mainly used as a covering of roofs with a slope of not less than 10%, but it can also be used as a siding for the construction of building doors. Due to its dense ribbing, it is ideal for constructions with high load-bearing strength requirements. The specially designed connection joint, in combination with the deep gutter, offers great water drainage and ensures the perfect fitting and waterproofing of the profiles.

Sheets

It is possible to choose metal sheets from different materials in different thicknesses. The metal sheets available for the production of the profile can be steel, aluminum and stainless steel. The thickness of the plates ranges from 0.40mm to 1.00mm. Pre-painted and galvanized steel sheets of 0.50 mm thickness are usually used.

Classic Polyester paint

Polyester paints are the most widespread, common and the most economical laminate coatings. They are suitable for both exterior and interior surfaces. With a nominal coating thickness of > 20μm they have very good resistance to external environmental conditions.

Durable Plastisol paint

The Plastisol coating is extremely resistant to outdoor weather conditions. It belongs to the category of “self-healing” coatings in mechanical damages. With a nominal coating thickness of 200μm, it is suitable for external applications where the requirements for strength are high.

High demand PVDF paint

PVDF paint is suitable for buildings with architectural applications where texture and color retention are important. The nominal thickness of the coating is > 35μm and is classified in category s1, in terms of its reaction to fire.

* The weight per unit length was calculated considering the nominal thickness of the plates 0.50mm and the specific weight of steel 7850 kg/m³ and aluminum 2750 kg/m³.

The 42/250 trapezoidal profiles are fixed to the load-bearing body by the standard method of visible anchoring. It is recommended that the support be applied to the peaks and not to the valleys. The profiles are designed to cover roofs with a slope of no less than 10%.

Profiles can be placed with an overlap. The lengths of the profiles must be predetermined so that at the point of overlap there is always a support (beam). For the waterproofing of the construction, it is recommended to use sealants in the connecting and covering joints.
