Thermal insulating Polyurethane Plates

Thermal insulation boards with paper sheets on both sides and a core of rigid polyurethane PUR or high index polyurethane (PIR) foam can be used to achieve the energy upgrade and energy saving of buildings. They limit the losses of the building and contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions in the environment. They are applied as an insulating element in all types of buildings, in masonry (interior and exterior) and in ceilings (interior and exterior). One of their main applications is the thermal insulation of cold room floors.

They are distinguished by:
  • excellent thermal insulation capacity, U value
  • high compressive strength compared to other insulators
  • they do not contain dangerous substances, CFC & HCFC free
They are produced with:
  • useful width 1150mm and with nominal thickness 30mm, 50mm, 80mm, 100mm
  • in customized lengths from 2m to 8m, depending on the needs of the project

Characteristic Materials

 

Insulating polyurethane core PUR/PIR

The 40 kg/m3 high density PUR polyurethane foam insulating core has excellent resistance to heat transmission. It is proven to be the best thermal insulation material in the field of construction.

It does not contain dangerous harmful substances, it is odorless and safe for health and the environment. Does not contain CFC & HCFC, substances that damage the ozone. It is recyclable and can be used to produce secondary use products.

In addition, PIR polyurethane foam is not flammable, it is suitable for buildings with fire resistance requirements of their structural elements. PIR polyurethane foam is classified in category E, according to the EN 13501-1 standard, i.e. it does not transmit fire, is difficult to ignite, has minimal smoke production and does not produce flammable or non-flammable particles.

Face sheets

Stoneglass white paper surfaces, suitable for PU boards for application as external thermal insulation. Suitable to accept most types of coatings. The rough surface enhances adhesion and adhesion. It is waterproof with anti-mold and anti-algae additives. It is classified in class E according to EN 11925

Cart 90 black paper surfaces, suitable for PU boards, for insulating metal surfaces. Asphalt for additional waterproofing. Waterproof with anti-mold and anti-algae additives. Ribbed for anti-slip protection and enhanced grip. Very light and resistant to mechanical stress and low temperatures.

It is possible to produce a plate with aluminum foil or with flat polyester sheets up to 1mm thick, where the environment is extremely corrosive.

Polyurethane PIR plates are classified in category E, in terms of their reaction to fire, according to EN 13501-1 standard.

The thermal insulation plates are fixed to the structure either with an adhesive material (glue) or with anchors (plastic or metal). In any case, at the joint between the plates, it is recommended to use a sealant (usually low-expansion polyurethane foam).

When insulating both vertical and horizontal structural elements, the polyurethane thermal insulation boards must be fully supported. Slabs, unlike panels, are not designed to carry loads.
