Polyurethane Tile Panels

Polyurethane Tile Panels

Polyurethane Tile Panels

The self-supporting thermal insulation panels with tile configuration with metal sheets on both sides and a core of polyurethane PUR or high index polyurethane (high index) PIR can be used as covering of ceilings and pitched roofs as well as external covering / siding of the faces in all types of buildings .

They are distinguished by:
  • excellent reaction to fire, class B s1 d0 (PIR high index)
  • excellent thermal insulation capacity, U value
  • very good bearing capacity as a polyurethane panel
  • they do not contain dangerous substances, CFC & HCFC free
They are produced with:
  • useful width 1000mm and with nominal thickness 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 80mm, 100mm, 120mm
  • in fixed lengths from 2m to 14m depending on the step and needs of the project

Insulating polyurethane core PUR/PIR

The 40 kg/m3 high density PUR polyurethane foam insulating core has excellent resistance to heat transmission. It is proven to be the best thermal insulation material in the field of construction.

It does not contain dangerous harmful substances, it is odorless and safe for health and the environment. Does not contain CFC & HCFC, substances that damage the ozone. It is recyclable and can be used to produce secondary use products

In addition, PIR polyurethane foam is not flammable, it is suitable for buildings with fire resistance requirements of their structural elements. The PIR polyurethane foam panel is classified in category B-s1-d0, according to the EN 13501-1 standard, i.e. it does not transmit fire, is difficult to ignite, has minimal smoke production and does not produce flammable or non-flammable particles.

Essential features:
  • Density 40 ± 2 kg/m3 (high index)
  • Thermal conductivity, λ 0.023 W/mK
  • 95% closed cell structure
  • Reaction to fire, self-extinguishing, class B s1 d0

Sheets

Pre-painted and galvanized steel sheets of 0.50 mm thickness are usually used. It is possible to choose a sheet of different materials and thicknesses.

  • Pre-painted and galvanized steel or with aluzinc protection, according to EN 10346 & EN 10143, from 0.35 mm to 1.0 mm, with Polyester, Plastisol, PVDF coatings.
  • Aluminum, unpainted with aluzinc protection or pre-painted with AluZinc protection, according to EN 508-2, with a thickness from 0.35 mm to 1.0 mm.
  • Stainless steel, AISI 304 2B or AISI 316 L, from 0.35 mm to 1.0 mm, without color coating, mat or gloss.

Outer Sheet

Exterior metal sheets with light slate tile configuration, with footprint dimensions of 200x125mm. With the possibility of embossing the surface (Embossed) and without imprinting (smooth).

Inner Sheet

Internal metal sheets with no flat configuration (Flat) or with a slight Box 100 groove configuration (50-50) and embossed (Embossed). It is possible to produce panels where the inner lamina can be replaced with a flat polyester sheet up to 1mm thick, for use in constructions where the environment is extremely corrosive.

Please ask us about available coatings (Polyester, Plastisol, PVDF, Food Safe, Non-Toxic and Anti-mould) and available colors (RAL 1014 to RAL 9010)

Classic Polyester paint

Polyester paints are the most widespread, common and the most economical laminate coatings. They are suitable for both exterior and interior surfaces. With a nominal coating thickness of > 20μm they have very good resistance to external environmental conditions.

Durable Plastisol paint

The Plastisol coating is extremely resistant to outdoor weather conditions. It belongs to the category of “self-healing” coatings in mechanical damages. With a nominal coating thickness of 200μm, it is suitable for external applications where the requirements for strength are high.

High demand PVDF paint

PVDF paint is suitable for buildings with architectural applications where texture and color retention are important. The nominal thickness of the coating is 50μm and it is classified in category s1, in terms of its reaction to fire.

Coating color options

An extremely large number of coating color options are available. Please ask us about available colors (RAL 1014 to RAL 9010).

Nominal thickness Panel Weight* Thermal Coefficient **
[mm] [kg/m2] [W/m2.K]
40 10,0 0,57
50 10,4 0,45
60 10,8 0,37
80 11,6 0,29
100 12,4 0,23
120 13,2 0,19

* Panel weight (kg/m2) was calculated considering the core density 40kg/m3, and the nominal thickness of the laminates 0.50mm / 0.50mm.

** The thermal permeability coefficient was calculated taking into account the density of the core 40kg/m3, the coefficient of thermal conductivity of the core 0.023 W/mK and the nominal thickness of the plates 0.50mm / 0.50mm.

Polyurethane PIR panels are classified after tests carried out in notified laboratories in category B s1 d0, in terms of their reaction to fire, according to EN 13501-1 standard.

Polyurethane tile panels are fixed to the load-bearing body by the standard method of visible anchoring. The new innovative configuration of the panel profile offers an excellent aesthetic result without losing its characteristic properties. It is possible to install the panels either for lateral coverage or for covering roofs with a slope never less than 30%.

In both side covering and roof covering it is recommended to lay the panels horizontally and use special pieces and sealants to cover the vertical joint. Placing the panels with an overlap is not recommended and should be avoided unless the particularities of the project require it.

The special joint design of the panels in combination with the use of sealants minimizes the joints from panel to panel and therefore achieves:

  • Reduction of thermal bridges to a minimum
  • Limitation of air and moisture penetration
  • Minimize setup time
  • Limited use of additional accessories

Every construction project is different and at the same time unique. That is why it is not possible to have standardized Accessories / Special parts. The company’s technical department can give you any necessary assistance you need to design, develop and manufacture the special parts you will need.
