Symdeck steel sheet is a trapezoidal galvanized profile used for the manufacture of composite panels of large spans. It can also be used as a pure metal carrier capable of covering large openings.
The upper foot of the steel sheet is reinforced against local buckling with an intermediate reinforcement in its middle. In the trunk there are special ribs (impressions), which provide the additional connection required between the steel sheet and the concrete in order to transfer the longitudinal shear forces that develop between the two materials. Steel sheets are always produced to the factory’s high quality levels in thicknesses from 0.75 to 1.25 mm. The steel used is high quality S320GD according to Eurocode 3, galvanized, with the option of painting in a wide range of colors. The geometric and inertial characteristics of the profile for each thickness are shown in the following figures and tables.
