Applications

Damier aluminum with an embossed surface (or aluminum barley) has various architectural and decorative applications. as also used in coatings for floors, lofts, carts, etc. It is 3 times lighter than the corresponding iron barley. A sheet of 1000 x 2000 x 2.00mm weighs only 12 kg, while the iron equivalent about 36.

Cost

Its cost is quite high compared to common steels but combined with its low weight it becomes quite affordable.
